It isn't all shows and glamour at Havillands, here's Jenny Stigley- stable manager- grooming her horse Coral Court. Jenny is quite particular about Coral's appearance, she likes to be well dressed herself.
It occurred to me that I am always drawing my characters competing and not actually doing all the mundane ordinary things that really do happen for 70% of the time where ever there are horses.
Jenny has a pretty ancient looking curry comb there, Havillands don't have a lot of up to date kit, they tend to use what they already have. Their policy of 'Make Do And Mend' means that they always look a bit behind the times.
Drawn on cartridge paper with a propelling pencil.
Inked with India ink pens
Coloured with assorted coloured pencils.
