Havillands Sabra and Khi Black.
Day four afternoon, One day event Cross country
And you thought Gareth and Meredith were mad?
Khi and Sabra attacked the cross country course with a mixture of ferocity and panic respectively.
Khi had her teeth gritted and Sabra was faced with a jump that dropped DOWN instead of going UP!!! (It looks like the boys will have to dig some ditches to practice on when they get back home) Sabra was just a snorting mass of hair, nostrils and teeth, Khi was encouraging her verbally but incoherently. She might be irresponsible sometimes but she can really ride!
The general response from the rest of the team watching from the rails was mixed to say the least.
Gareth was yelling something that translated roughly as
"Go on Princess, you are doing well!"
Whether this was aimed at the girl or the horse no one was actually sure.
John was just worried that there was going to be an accident and Jenny assumed that the pair of them would get through this unscathed but by the skin of their teeth as usual.
Several spectators were alarmed at the spectacle of Khi and her Arab steed going at a breakneck pace.
