Community service

When they aren't charging about the countryside, training for shows, gallivanting about in the horse box or having a battle of wills; Gareth and Meredith do actually do good things for the local community. Gareth helps the local primary school out with their allotment, he tidies the church yard, he takes Meredith to the local care home to be made much of by the residents and they often visit the patients in the children's ward of Broomfield Hospital*
You wouldn't necessarily think of Meredith as a good candidate for this kind of job but he likes children and can be very well behaved when he has to be. He knows that he has to have impeccable manners at the hospital. Meredith's visits are much anticipated by some of the children, they love to give him a hug then he blows in their hair which tickles and makes them laugh.

Sorry for the very slow updates, work is a bit manic and I have been working the swing shift trying to get all the marking done. I haven't had a lot of time for myself even at lunch breaks, I hope it will calm down a bit soon or I may burn myself out!

* I have never actually been in the Children's ward of Broomfield Hospital but I am guessing it looks basically like the other wards. This picture is based on the bits of the hospital I have seen/got lost in.
